Cooperative Learning in the English Language Classroom - March 19, 2009,
On March 19, 2009, Dr. Basma Faour, the Director
of the Center for Teaching and Learning, and Ms. Annie Lajinian, the Director
of the Foundation Program presented a workshop on “Cooperative Learning in the
English Language Classroom”. The workshop was attended by 38 faculty members
from the Foundation Program. The participants were introduced to the what, why,
and how of cooperative learning. They were also involved in implementing some
cooperative learning strategies as they pertain to an English language
classroom.
